Project Details

Located in East Austin, Anderson Village offers affordable and sustainable multifamily housing in a rapidly changing neighborhood. With 24 total apartment units, this 12,500 square foot complex is carefully organized on a compact urban lot to create intimately proportioned public courtyards and preserve a significant grove of native live oak trees. Well-detailed, durable materials combined with efficient unit planning focused on maximizing outdoor spaces result in a project that met budgets while satisfying the Owner’s desire for a simple and refined aesthetic uncommon in affordable housing. Anderson Village exemplifies the City of Austin S.M.A.R.T. Housing Program goals of equity, accessibility, safety, and transit-oriented sustainable development. Now featured as a case study, Anderson Village was awarded a prestigious 4-Star rating from the Austin Energy Green Building Program for sustainable and energy-efficient features above and beyond the minimum standard required.
